We watch hundreds of films, binge hours of television and follow every game, tournament & playoff final in order to help our customers find the best stories. We’re looking for an expert, knowledgeable and passionate sports lover to join our content programming team to help ensure the best customer experience on our video platforms. Key Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of experience in online media, e-commerce, and/or merchandising, content programming & curation.
  • Very passionate and knowledgeable about a wide variety of sports and the business landscape. Current with sporting news, pop culture, and industry trends.
  • Keen sense of cultural relevance and consumer tastes for Sports content.
  • Driven self-starter and able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can problem solve.
  • Ability to optimally coordinate, prioritize and run multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and dynamic teammate.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Enjoys working with digital technology and tools for web-based production.
  • Flexibility to work nights and/or weekends, as the live sports schedule requires.
Description Video programmers are the conduit between the customer and the content. You’ll help design and implement the layout of our merchandising, participate in the planning and execution of special features and promotions, and brainstorm creative ways for customers to find the sports they love and discover new ones. A love for sports is a must and so is extensive experience in curating content online, in the sports entertainment industry, or in print. We’re looking for an individual who excels at strategy, planning, organizing and both big-sky thinking and commitment to detail, who thrives with sports culture and has an in-depth understanding of the current complex sports video distribution landscape. Comprehensive knowledge of and passion for US soccer is a huge plus. A fan without being a snob, you should be well versed in a wide range of sports, both mens and women's. You should be comfortable finding a balance in featuring them all, mindful of representing a variety of sports and a diversity of experiences in our planning and programming. We are seeking an experienced leader, strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and passionate fan, who has a proven track record planning and executing their own workflow while working within a highly collaborative team. Do you love a good debate about sports? We sure do. The position requires excellent organizational and prioritization skills, resourcefulness, and ingenuity in solving problems. The ideal candidate should feel a personal stake in the product, build strong relationships, and work for the success of the entire team. As our Sports Content Programmer, you will be responsible for maintaining a thoughtful, dynamic and always relevant editorial voice for sports programming in the Apple TV app. You’ll use live matches, classic games, clips, highlights, interviews and more as your tools to tell the story of single matches, division rivalries, season-long narratives and global tournaments. The Sports Content Programmer collaborates cross-functionally with our internal teams – engineering, marketing, operations, analytics, production, design – to continually evolve Apple’s sports product. Our goal is to exceed both Apple’s own standards and the needs of passionate sports fans around the world. Education & Experience Bachelors Degree preferred Additional Requirements
